Polish Commission of International Intellectual Cooperation (PCIIC), established in 1924, comprised one of the elements of the organizational structure of the international intellectual cooperation within the League of Nations. Karol Lutostański (1880-1939), the Professor of Civil Law at Warsaw University. despite many public and State functions as well as professional work. was the real creator PCIIC and her activity during fifteen years. In 1926, owing to Lutostański initiative, PCIIC come into contact with "national commissions" intellectual cooperation from 25 countries. Lutostański was the founder or an initiator of several specialistic sub-commissions and committees within PCIIC. He attached great importance to publicity Polish participation in the international intellectual cooperation in Poland and abroad. Lutostański took part in the discussion and conferences concerning organizational structure and principles of international intellectual cooperation within League of Nations. He was an advocate of independence and free activity "national commissions" intellectual cooperation in accordance with the peaceful principles of the League of Nations.
