Badanie zderzenia kultur metodą biograficzną

Abstract

Artykuł prezentuje założenia teoretyczne i metodologiczne badania historycznego przypadku zderzenia między kulturą polską i sowiecką na ziemiach wschodnich II Rzeczypospolitej w latach 1939–1941. Badania przeprowadzono metodą biograficzną, bazując na zastanym materiale pamiętnikarskim. W pierwszej części przybliżono kontekst historyczny przedmiotu badań – pierwszą okupację sowiecką oraz przyjętą perspektywę teoretyczną – kategorię zderzenia kultur. W części drugiej scharakteryzowano wykorzystane w badaniach źródła, sposób wykorzystania metody biograficznej oraz przebieg procedury badawczej. W zakończeniu artykułu zaprezentowano najważniejsze rezultaty badania wybranego przypadku zderzenia kultur metodą biograficzną.

The paper presents theoretical and methodological foundations for studying the historical case of the clash between Polish and Soviet cultures on the eastern lands of the II Republic of Poland in 1939−1941. The study, based on secondary sources (memoirs), was conducted with the use of biographical method. The first part of the paper dwells on the historical context of the study, covering the period of the first Soviet occupation, as well as presenting the adopted theoretical perspective – the category of cultures clash. In the second part, the sources used in the research are characterized, as well as the way of using the biographical method and the course of the research procedure are presented. The most important results of the case study of cultures clash based on the biographical method are introduced in the conclusion.
