Abstract

Development of the non-material sphere taking place in all parts of the world prompts consideration of its separateness. In other words, it is necessary to determine whether it has characte¬ristics distinguishing it from the entire economic system. The author of this article discusses these characteristics dividing them by means of three criteria: production of services, use of services, and system of organization and financing non-material services. The distinguished characteristics of the non-material sphere are compared with characteristics of the material sphere. Considering a far -reaching specific nature of the non-material sphere it should be pointed out that there cannot be used instruments and principles in relation to it which find their application for the material sphere. That concerns mainly the economic-financial system.
