Etykietowanie środowiskowe w hotelarstwie

Abstract

The reduction of negative impact of the hotel industry on environment is no longer an option, it is a necessity. However, the implementation of the environmental management systems according to ISO 14000 or EMAS entails remarkable costs. Therefore, a simpler approach using the environmental labelling seems to be in many cases more appropriate. The Polish hotel industry has not elaborated a national labelling system. It seems therefore reasonable for the industry to start with the labelling system of the European Union, so called Ecolabel. The paper presents requirements that have to be fullfilled to have right to use the Ecolabel in the hotel business activity.
