Abstract
The article is devoted to Andrzej Loeaechius’s Muza gór wielickich created in 1608, in which is reporteda travel to Wieliczka. The author focuses on the salt mine and its realistic portrayal — its aspects,prevailing conditions and miners’ work. Moreover, the article discusses the issue of the poem’s authorship,construction as well as the analysis and the interpretation of the text.
