Sylwa jako forma pamięci społecznej wspólnoty szlacheckiej

Abstract

The article attempts to determine how the identity of the nobility is linguized in texts of the silvae rerum type typical of the Polish language of the 17th–18th centuries on the example of one manuscript. Sylva as an intentionally memorial genre expressively profiles the community, providing a picture of the nobility’s communal memory of itself. In terms of content and on the linguistic plane, the sylva text is a culturally conditioned set of ideas about the past geared towards preserving in social memory the most significant traces of identity for the community.

Artykuł podejmuje próbę określenia, jak ujęzykowiona jest tożsamość szlachecka w tekstach typu silvae rerum typowych dla polszczyzny XVII–XVIII w. na przykładzie jednego rękopisu. Sylwa jako gatunek intencjonalnie memoryczny wyraziście profiluje wspólnotę, dając obraz pamięci wspólnotowej szlachty o niej samej. W zakresie zawartości treściowej i w płaszczyźnie językowej tekst sylwy jest uwarunkowanym kulturowo zespołem wyobrażeń o przeszłości nastawionym na zachowywanie w pamięci społecznej najistotniejszych dla wspólnoty śladów tożsamości.
