Abstract

The paper argues for a radical concept: a vision of the theatre without room for disability. It argues care, beyond rhetorical practice of essential, both medical and therapeutic attitude to disability. The paper demonstrates important consequences emerged by consistently constructivist approach to disability as a cultural category for a phenomenon of ‘disabled theatre’. In fact, it is not a special kind of theatre. It’s just a theatre, without any adjectives. This text was inspired by the writings of ethicist Rosemarie Garland Thomson.
