Abstract

Czas historyczny i Zeitgeist w autobiografii Dietricha von Hildebranda. Opublikowane fragmenty wspomnień niemieckiego filozofa Dietricha von Hildebranda z lat 1921– 1937 naznaczone są czasem historycznym, będącym tłem losów autora i dotyczą jego sporu z panującym wówczas „duchem czasu”, który to spór zdeterminował biograficzne wybory filozofa. W niniejszym artykule, stanowiącym element szerszego projektu badawczego, zostanie podjęta próba eksploracji relacji pomiędzy samorozumieniem swojej roli przez Hildebranda a zewnętrznym Zeitgeist (rozumianym jako latentne struktury sensu) zainspirowana obiektywną hermeneutyką.

Published extracts from the memoirs of a German philosopher Dietrich von Hildebrand from the years 1921–1937 are marked by historical time, which formed the background of the author’s life. They are focused on the philosopher’s struggle with the prevailing „spirit of the times” and the influence of this conflict on the philosopher’s biographical choices. The article, which forms a part of a broader research project, is an attempt to explore the relationship between Hildebrand’s understanding of his own role and the external Zeitgeist (understood as latent structures of meaning) inspired by objective hermeneutics.
