The article describes the learning-by-exporting (LBE) phenomenon. The first part focuses on theoretical background for analyses. The second one applies to enterprises from Lodz Voivodeship and their perspectives for learning. The research is based on a survey conducted among firms from the region. The results indicate, that learning is not of prime concern to exporters, however, there are premises for a statement that LBE may occur in a longer period.en
