Wpływ środowiska górskiego na dobrostan psychospołeczny człowieka
Abstract
Góry to przestrzeń, w której dochodzi do integracji elementów natury, ruchu, ciszy oraz autentycznego kontaktu z samym sobą i innymi ludźmi. The aim of this article is to present the impact of the mountain environment on human psychosocial well-being in the context of therapeutic tourism. The mountains are a space where elements of nature, movement, silence, and authentic contact with oneself and other people come together. Metaphorically speaking, the author tries to answer the question: “Is tourism a big game?”, treating a stay in the mountains as a process in which a person “plays for health”. The theoretical part presents definitions and mechanisms shaping psychosocial well-being, as well as the importance of the mountain environment in therapeutic and preventive processes. The empirical part presents the results of the author’s own research on the subjective feelings of the impact of mountains on the well-being and mental health of mountain tourism participants. The article concludes with a discussion of the potential of mountain therapy as a form of support for mental and social health.
