Udział ziemian Mazowsza Płockiego w rozwoju przemysłu w okresie międzywojennym
Abstract
The Płock Mazovia region was mainly agricultural area, therefore it lacked bigger industrial 
plants. The existing ones provided services to the agricultural production and other properties. The 
landowners often tried to become the owners of distilleries, starch services, dairies, sugar factories, 
mills,  brewieries,  sawmills.  For  instance,  well-known  sugar  factories  founded  by  the  Masovian 
landowners were located in Krasiniec in region Ciechanów and Mała Wieś in region of Płock. 
The  landowners  were  also  involved  on  creating  associations  which  resulted  in  opening  
diaries. For example, Władysław Rutkowski from Krzykos contributed to the foundation of the 
steam dairy in Płock. 
A  lot  of  landowners  took  part  in  the  development  of  various  kind  of  organizations  which  
patronized  industrial  production.  For  example,  Kazimierz  Dziewanowski  from  Grodkowo  –  the 
owner of the distillery and industrial activist – functioned as the president of the Association of 
Spirit Producers and the vice president of Polish Spirit Association.
