Abstract

Romuald Zielazek (1936–2001) był poznańskim fotografikiem, filmowcem, operatorem związanym z Ośrodkiem Radiowo-Telewizyjnym w Poznaniu, absolwentem Szkoły Filmowej w Łodzi; od 1972 roku członkiem Związku Polskich Artystów Fotografików. Był znaczącą postacią w środowisku poznańskich fotografików, laureatem wielu konkursów fotograficznych i filmowych, m.in. Grand Prix Satyrykon w 1987 roku czy nagrody głównej Złocistego Jantara w Konkursie Fotografii Polskiej w Gdańsku w 1977 roku. Zajmował się fotografią dokumentalną, publicystyczną, portretową, teatralną i reklamową, jednak najciekawsze wydają się jego reportaże socjologiczne i dokumentalne, pokazujące nieoficjalny, krytyczny obraz PRL-u. Dokumentował w nich życie wielkopolskiej prowincji lat 60.–80. XX wieku.

Romuald Zielazek (1936–2001) was a Poznań photographer, filmmaker, and cinematographer associated with the Poznań Radio and Television Center. He graduated from the Łódź Film School and was a member of the Association of Polish Art Photographers from 1972. He was a prominent figure in the Poznań photography community, winning numerous photography and film competitions, including the Satyrykon Grand Prix in 1987 and the Golden Amber Award at the Polish Photography Competition in Gdańsk in 1977. He worked in documentary, journalistic, portrait, theater, and advertising photography, but his most interesting work seems to be his sociological and documentary reportages, presenting an unofficial, critical view of the Polish People’s Republic. In these, he documented the life of the Greater Poland province from the 1960s to the 1980s.
