The influence of women on global economics became recently an interest of analysis for the researchers, especialy due to the growing activity of women in the field of business creating and new approaches to the matter of business management. Treating gender as a determinant in these researches is a consequence of the realizing the influence of the socio and cultural differences between men and women in regard to business activity experiences. The roots and in some part also effects of these differences are visible when analyzing motivation, barriers and assessment of own competences and satisfaction from overcoming of the challenges faces by both men and women. It can be stated that the barriers traditionally seen as blocking points for women in leading own businesses are gradually vanishing due to the technological advancements and new ways of dealing with business activity. Furthermore, the „female” management styles, and characteristics of the businesses created and led by women suggest that between „womenomics”, digital economy and the sector of small enterprises there are correlations to be found. This article is an attempt to answer the question, whether the social change caused by the evolution of cultural roles on one hand, and the emerge of new technologies on the other, can influence the participation of women in the general number of entrepreneurs.
